You are invited!
Joining us is as simple as showing up to one of our meetings where we will introduce you to the group and teach you the rules. You don’t need to bring any money, costumes, or weapons on your first visit as everything will be provided for you.

What do you need to bring?
Like we said above you don’t need to bring anything but your regular street clothes, and maybe some good running shoes. But if you want to dress up a bit you are in the right crowd. Try to stick with medieval inspired clothing that is comfortable to move in. We don’t recommend wearing armor for your first visit, and please don’t bring sharp swords. If you already have LARP safe foam weapons please bring them but you will be limited to one 29″-33″ medieval arming sword, which will need to pass our weapons check.

At the heart of every clash, your safety comes first. Break the rules of engagement, and you may be asked to leave the battlefield—no exceptions.
The Red Stags Battle Group brings the thrill of medieval warfare to life using authentic armor and specially designed foam and latex weapons. Our battles are fast-paced and strategic, aiming to recreate the spirit—not the danger—of historical combat.
Victory isn’t about brute strength. It’s about skill. Warriors aim for precise strikes to designated hit zones—anywhere between the neck and knees, excluding the elbows. Blows must be clear enough to be felt, but excessive force is forbidden.
So, who decides a hit? You do.
We live and fight by the honor system. If you’re struck, you call it. Failing to acknowledge clean hits undermines the spirit of the group—and will result in removal from the field.
Suit up, fight fair, and let your honor speak louder than your sword.
